Charitable Purposes
Drawn from Section 4 of the Woven Rivers Trust Deed

 

The objectives of the Trust are to use or employ both capital and income of the Trust Fund exclusively for the following charitable purposes within New Zealand which are hereby declared to be the objectives and purposes of the Trust:

 

• The education of the public about the natural environment, climate adaptation, the preservation and enhancement of biodiversity, and the benefits of sustainable and regenerative living;
   

• The education of the public about social and environmental sustainability and regeneration;
   

• The education of the public about individual and collective wellbeing and mental health;
   

• The education of the public about the benefits of socially and environmentally sustainable business practices;
   

• To promote the use of socially and environmentally sustainable business practices;
   

• To promote and provide for the reduction of financial and cultural barriers to education opportunities;
   

• To promote sustainable social and environmental practices among the community;
   

• To provide social and environmental sustainability training and workplace training that supports employment opportunities;
   

• To promote, support and encourage education, research and scholarship in the fields referred to in the preceding sub-clauses;
   

• To promote, support and encourage cultural healing, equity and wellbeing;
   

• All such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above charitable purposes but only insofar as the same are Charitable Purposes according to the laws of New Zealand.
